RoadMate 1470 does not deviate from the tried-and-true handheld device form factor in navigation. Measuring 3.3 inches by 5.2 inches by 7 cm in width and thinness RoadMate easily makes this device one of the handheld devices in its class. Like almost all PNDs, most of visage RoadMate employs a color touch screen. Most units in this price range do because with 4.3-inch screen, and the 1470 is equipped with a massive 4.7-inch device. And we are grateful for the extra real estate when viewing the direction of the turn of the turn of our peripherals at high speeds.
The screen has a matte finish that does a good job of diffusing glare which, along with bright backlighting, supports block useful when viewing in direct sunlight.

In addition to six user-configurable OneTouch link in the menu also has a permanent link to the home, previous destination, local information, GPS status, and emergency services.
